Governor appoints Eileen Sheil to the 51ĀŅĀ× Board of Trustees

Ohio Gov. John Kasich has appointed Eileen Sheil to the 51ĀŅĀ× Board of Trustees. Her term began May 24, 2018; it will end May 13, 2027.
Ohio Gov. John Kasich has appointed Eileen Sheil, executive director of corporate communications for the Cleveland Clinic, to the 51ĀŅĀ× Board of Trustees.
Sheilās term began May 24, 2018; it will end May 13, 2027. She fills the expired term of former OHIO Trustee Janetta King.
Sheil, who has extensive experience in health policy, crisis communications and issues management, is part of the Cleveland Clinicās executive leadership team and oversees its internal and external strategic communications, media relations and crisis and issues management. She also serves as the Cleveland Clinicās chief spokesperson and is a voting member of the Innovation Management & Conflict of Interest Committee.
Additionally, Sheil is a guest columnist for PR Weekās online publication and a faculty member of the Cleveland Clinic Sampson Global Leadership Academy. She is also a member of the Arthur Page Society and the non-proļ¬t group of the International Association of Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC).

Sheil has worked in the communications industry for 25 years, the vast majority within healthcare. She earned her bachelorās degree in journalism from 51ĀŅĀ× and a masterās degree in public administration from Cleveland State University.

Sheil and her husband, Bill, an attorney and investigative journalist, have two children and live in Cleveland, Ohio.
