AACTE Holmes Scholars Leadership Series

51ĀŅĀ×ā€™s Patton College of Education, along with the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) and the Holmes Council, has organized a free four-part series of conversations designed to explore the leadership trajectories and experiences of various individuals connected to the field of education.

The first session will focus on ā€œLeadership Lessons: A Conversation with Established Leadersā€ on Monday, Jan. 31, from 6 ā€“ 8:00 p.m.

Speakers will include Dr. RenƩe A. Middleton, former Dean of The Patton College of Education, and Dr. Lynn M. Gangone, AACTE President & CEO. The moderator will be Holmes Council President Oumarou Abdoulaye Balarabe.

The Session One take-aways will include:

  • Key lessons learned from established leaders
  • How to avoid the pitfalls of leadership
  • Developing strategies for resiliency
  • Opportunities to engage and ask questions about leadership.

  • ā€œA Conversation on Leadership Lessons with Holmes Scholars/Students of Color in Leadership,ā€ Monday, April 25, 6 - 8:00 p.m.
