Community-based internships available

°æ±į±õ°æā€™s Center for Campus and Community Engagement is seeking applicants for community-based internships for Summer 2022. ā€œThe Community-based Internship program was piloted in 2019 with immense success for both the participating students and the community partners,ā€ said Mary Nally, director of the Center for Campus and Community Engagement. ā€œStudents gain hands-on experience and networking opportunities while the community partners benefit from capacity support, tangible results to address their priority issues, and a deeper relationship with the University.ā€

The , , , , and the are the participating community partners this year.

ā€œBecause this internship connected me with nonprofit and local government officials throughout the region, I now really feel a deeper sense of place as an 51ĀŅĀ× student, here in these forests and on these trails, as well as someone whoā€™s invested in the well-being of our entire community,ā€ said 2021 graduate Alli Mancz. ā€œI came away from this internship with several new skills and personal fulfillment in feeling that I contributed to the common good of our area in giving back to the place that has really given me so much.ā€

Positions are 17.5 hours per week for ten weeks from June 6-August 12 with compensation of $12 per hour. OHIO undergraduate students are eligible. Applications will be accepted through April 15, 2022.
