51ĀŅĀ× community to celebrate 150 years since first female graduate

This June marks 150 years since Margaret āMaggieā Boyd made history as 51ĀŅĀ×ās first female graduate. Today, we continue to honor Boydās pioneering spirit and perseverance.
In the 150 years to follow, women at OHIO have made significant contributions to the culture and success of our institution.
The Margaret Boyd Scholars Program is a testament to Boydās legacy. A new cohort of diverse undergraduate students is selected yearly, and scholars are provided with opportunities for mentorship, academic advancement, community engagement and networking. The program seeks to inspire and encourage students to become engaged, confident, and connected leaders who are empathetic and socially responsible at 51ĀŅĀ×. Anyone hoping to join in celebrating Boydās legacy can now donate to give their to the program.
Join the 51ĀŅĀ× Womenās Center, Division of Student Affairs, Office of the President, Office of the Provost and the Margaret Boyd Scholars in commemorating Boydās legacy and supporting access to higher education for all.
