Approximately 1,100 students, both undergraduate and graduate, marked a significant milestone in their academic journeys at 51ĀŅĀ×ās 2023 Fall commencement ceremony on Dec. 16 at the Convocation Center.
President Lori Stewart Gonzalez opened the event, congratulating the graduates for their hard work, sacrifice and success.
āWherever your journey takes you, I hope that you keep exploring, keep learning, keep growing, and all the while, keep 51ĀŅĀ× in your hearts,ā she said. āYou will always be a Bobcat and 51ĀŅĀ× will forever welcome you back ā it is your home.ā
The two-hour ceremony was not only a celebration of academic accomplishment but also a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students.
Associate Professor Josh Antonuccio, director of OHIOās School of Media Arts and Studies, delivered the Fall Commencement address. He encouraged graduates to use their OHIO experience as a launchpad for fulfilling their potential.
āYour job is to identify and continually invest into your uniqueness ā whatever that might be,ā he said. āIn doing so, it will open a world of possibilities for you.ā
