
OHIO Southern Alumni Leadership Award nominations sought

51ĀŅĀ× Southern is seeking nominations for the 2024 Dr. Dan Evans 51ĀŅĀ× Southern Alumni Leadership Award, presented to 51ĀŅĀ× Southern alumni who are making a difference as leaders in the community.
This award has been given annually since 2009 to an OHIO Southern graduate who shows the spirit of leadership and community service the University strives to impart to its students.
To be eligible for consideration, nominees must be a graduate of either a two-year or four-year degree program at 51ĀŅĀ× Southern and demonstrate positive leadership in the community.
are open through March 22 and may be submitted by faculty, staff, alumni and the community at large.
Last yearās awardee was Josh Blanton, whose non-traditional educational path led him to a full and varied career as local leader in both public service and industry, as well as an educator, teaching supply chain logistic classes.
āIf it wasnāt for 51ĀŅĀ× being there, I would not have had the option,ā Blanton said. āMy career, my public serviceā¦ It took a long time to get it, but I donāt know where Iād be in my life if I was not able to get that degree.ā
Based on the nominations received, the review committee will select an award recipient, which will be presented at the 51ĀŅĀ× Southern Spring Graduation Recognition Ceremony.
