Nursing students achieve publication success in leading journals

Six nursing students from the College of Health Sciences and Professions' NRSE 7001 - Professional Presence and Writing for the Advanced Nurse course have recently achieved publication success in prestigious peer-reviewed journals.

One of the course assignments is to write a letter to the editor in response to a recent journal article and submit it to the publication.

ā€œThese publications reflect the depth of talent and the powerful voices within the nursing profession,ā€ said Associate Professor Melvina Brandau. ā€œIā€™ve been quite impressed by their effort on this assignment and their published letters. Itā€™s so important that nurses, as the largest component of the healthcare workforce, share their voices!ā€
