OHIO Chillicothe seeks nominations for Woman of Distinction Award

51ĀŅĀ× Chillicothe is seeking nominations for the 2025 Woman of Distinction Award, established to honor a member of the OHIO Chillicothe or Ross County communities who has made significant contributions in supporting, raising awareness, and/or promoting women and gender issues.

 are open through close of business on Friday, Feb. 28 and may be submitted by faculty, staff, alumni and the community at large.

Last yearā€™s awardee was Stacy Saunders-Adams, associate professor of social work at 51ĀŅĀ× Chillicothe. With more than 20 years of experience in the child welfare field, she is deeply committed to improving the lives of individuals and families in Chillicothe, Ohio. Saunders-Adams was recognized as one of the Hope Partnership Project prevention advocates of the year in 2022 and as one of the Paint Valley ADAMH Boardā€™s Prevention Advocates of the year in 2023. A dedicated advocate for underserved and marginalized individuals, particularly those who experience some of the greatest suffering, she serves on the board of directors for the Hope Partnership Project, and as a volunteer at the Ross County Community and Outreach Center.

The Campus Relations Committee will select an award recipient who will be recognized at 51ĀŅĀ× Chillicotheā€™s Woman of Distinction event in March 2025 as part of OHIO Chillicotheā€™s Womenā€™s History Month celebration.
