All students, faculty, staff, area residents invited to Womenā€™s History Month events

51ĀŅĀ× will observe Womenā€™s History Month in March with a series of events for all members of the OHIO community.

Congress declared March as Womenā€™s History Month in 1987, and the national theme for 2025 is ā€œMoving Forward Together! Women Educating and Inspiring Generations.ā€

This yearā€™s events at 51ĀŅĀ× will include:

ā€“ Saturday, March 1, from 11 a.m. ā€“ 2 p.m. in the Walter Hall Rotunda. All members of the OHIO community are invited to an afternoon of inspiration, creativity and community. The theme of the day is ā€œMoving Forward Together,ā€ and the event will include speakers, performances, student panels and much more.

ā€“ Monday, March 3, beginning at 6 p.m  in the Baker University Center Theater. The films highlight the incredible accomplishments of four Southeastern Ohio women who have dedicated their lives to community action, activism, teaching and social justice.

ā€“ Wednesday, March 5, from 11 a.m.  until 2 p.m. in the Baker University Center Ballroom. Free and open to all students, faculty, staff and area residents, this dynamic gathering will feature expert speakers, poster sessions, networking opportunities, free food and much more.

ā€“ Friday, March 7, from 9-10 a.m. on Microsoft Teams. This engaging panel discussion will bring together accomplished OHIO alumni who are making a lasting impact in a wide range of fields.

ā€“ Tuesday, March 18 from 5-7 pm. In the Scripps Hall Esports Lounge. This is an opportunity for all OHIO students to hear from a game designer at Ubisoft, gain insights into the gaming industry, and connect with fellow gaming enthusiasts.

ā€“ Thursday, March 20 beginning at 4 p.m. in the 51ĀŅĀ× Chillicothe Auditorium. This event will feature the screening of the film, ā€œJawed Angels,ā€ along with a panel discussion of local leaders and educators. Popcorn and snacks will also be provided.

ā€“ Thursday, March 27, from 4-6 p.m. in the Walter Hall Rotunda. All faculty and staff are invited to unwind with colleagues, sip on their favorite drinks, and let their artistic sides shine.
