Ohio Loves Transit Week to feature activities, discounts for OHIO community

51�� Transportation and Parking Services will join other public transportation systems throughout the state Feb. 9-15 to celebrate Ohio Loves Transit Week.

All across the state, participating transit agencies will showcase how their systems enhance mobility around their communities and help facilitate regional transit access for riders.

51�� Transportation and Parking Services, in conjunction with (APT) and , will be taking part in several events to help spread awareness of public and campus transit opportunities. Ohio Loves Transit Week is coordinated by the as an annual celebration of the essential role transit systems play in keeping communities moving.

The eighth annual Ohio Loves Transit Week will include several celebration activities, including:

51�� Transportation and Parking Services will offer rider appreciation giveaways on Athens’s campus CATS Daily Shuttles, CATS Late Night Evening and Weekend Shuttles, and CATCAB Paratransit Services at various times throughout the week Feb. 9-15.

Transit Operators are the heartbeat of campus transit systems, and their work is essential to keeping the wheels moving. Transportation and Parking Services encourages riders to take a moment throughout their week to thank their transit drivers. Shout-outs for staff who have provided outstanding service will also be accepted by e-mailing tps@ohio.edu; feedback will be shared with drivers.
Free fare day will be held on Friday, Feb. 14, for the public on APT.
