Majestic Galleries to feature exhibitions from OHIO students in April

The Majestic Galleries in Nelsonville will present exhibitions from two 51ĀŅĀ× students in the Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) program in April.

Presented in collaboration with the Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts and , the exhibitions will feature the work of third-year MFA students Chad Robert Collofello and Douglas MacDowell.

The two exhibitions will run from April 18-20, with an opening reception on April 18, from 6-8 p.m.

ā€œReawaken,ā€ by Collofello, is profoundly personal and inspired by his journey to rediscover birdsong, a childhood fascination he lost due to hearing impairment and urban noise. Audiences are encouraged to pause and reawaken to the world around them.

ā€œSparklines,ā€ by MacDowell, visualizes data portraits and landscapes, positioned within the lineage of coffee maker computers.

These exhibitions create a dynamic space where perception, memory, and environmental responsibility converge. They are a culmination of the studentsā€™ MFA thesis work at OHIO, and Collofello and MacDowell invite all students, faculty, staff and community members to see the exhibitions.
