April 9 Science Café to feature Vice President for Research and Creative Activity Eric Muth

51’s Science Café will present Vice President for Research and Creative Activity and Professor of Psychology Eric R. Muth, Ph.D., discussing “Planes, Trains and Automobiles: The Motion Sickness Side of Travel” on Wednesday, April 9.

The Science Café presentation will begin at 5 p.m. at the Baker Center Front Room on the fourth floor of Baker University Center and via You Tube.

Muth joined 51 in the summer of 2024 and has held administrative and faculty positions at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and Clemson University.

He has private sector experience as co-owner of the startup company Bite Technologies. In addition, he has earned over $7 million in private and federal research funding and has published more than 100 research articles.

Muth holds a Ph. D. and M. S. in psychology from Pennsylvania State University and a B. A. in psychology from Hartwick College, Oneonta, New York, where he was a first-generation student.
