51����’s Science Café will present Vice President for Research and Creative Activity and Professor of Psychology Eric R. Muth, Ph.D., discussing “Planes, Trains and Automobiles: The Motion Sickness Side of Travel” on Wednesday, April 9.

The Science Café presentation will begin at 5 p.m. at the Baker Center Front Room on the fourth floor of Baker University Center and via You Tube.

Muth joined 51���� in the summer of 2024 and has held administrative and faculty positions at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and Clemson University.

He has private sector experience as co-owner of the startup company Bite Technologies. In addition, he has earned over $7 million in private and federal research funding and has published more than 100 research articles.

Muth holds a Ph. D. and M. S. in psychology from Pennsylvania State University and a B. A. in psychology from Hartwick College, Oneonta, New York, where he was a first-generation student.
