Ed. ’42) to honor the memory of her mother, Ann Kittle King. Recipients of this award must be undergraduate students enrolled full-time in Elementary Education. They must also hold a grade point average of 3.5 or above with preference given to students from Athens or Perry County. |

Marjorie received an M.Ed.’83 from The Patton College of Education and was a longtime mathematics educator at Athens High School. Scott is an Associate Professor Emeritus of Mathematics. |

Awardees must be full-time undergraduate students who are residents of Athens County and majoring in education. |

Ed. ’74) Strickmaker, parents of Stacey Strickmaker, who was born with Down’s Syndrome, have established this scholarship to assist a full-time undergraduate Special Education major at the junior or senior level. It is the desire of the Strickmakers to encourage, support and provide a variety of educational and learning experiences to enable people with developmental disabilities to integrate into society and fill valued roles in the community. |

The Student Ambassador Program was established to improve outreach to prospective and current students, strengthen communication with the Athens community and 51 groups, and
build relationships with our alumni. Ambassadors represent The Patton College and serve as hosts and hostesses at various meetings, conferences and events, both on and off-campus. Our Ambassadors are a select group of students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and exemplary student leadership. Ambassadors are dedicated to serving and representing The Patton College in education and human service professions.

Literacy Ambassadors are undergraduate teacher candidates who work or volunteer for the Stevens Literacy Center. Literacy Ambassadors provide one-on-one literacy enrichment to K-12 students, work in summer reading camps, and facilitate family literacy events in the community.
