Theater Minor

Theater Minor

The Theater minor provides students majoring in other disciplines with an opportunity to explore the world of theater. Through coursework in acting, design, production, and theater history, students gain a broad understanding of theatrical arts while developing creative and analytical skills. This minor allows students to engage with performance and production in ways that complement their primary field of study.

Admission Requirements

Freshman/First-Year Admission

There are no additional requirements beyond general university admission.

Change of Program Policy

Students must consult with both their major advisor and the theater minor advisor before declaring the minor. A minimum 2.0 GPA is required to maintain enrollment in the program.

Curriculum

The Theater minor requires a minimum of 22 credit hours, including foundational coursework in performance, design, theater history, and practical application. Students choose from a range of courses that provide hands-on experience in various aspects of theater.
