At Housing and Residence Life (HRL), we understand that our work goes beyond just a job ā it becomes a way of life. The deep connections we build with each other, the students, and the communities we serve are at the heart of everything we do.

Over the decades, these relationships have grown into a powerful network that supports our mission and strengthens our community.
Our alumni and friends are integral to the continued success of Housing and Residence Life. Calling all alumni! Itās time to return to campus for an unforgettable overnight experience. Back on the Bricks is your chance to reconnect with old friends, relive your college days, visit your old stomping grounds, and create new memories.
Join us Friday, July 18 to Sunday, July 20, with options to arrive early and extend your stay. Explore the campus at your own pace with optional activities such as:
- Pickleball
- Golf
- Tour of the residence halls
- A fun social event
Plus, this yearās event is perfectly timed to coincide with the tail end of āsip, savor, and soak in the fun!

Distinguished Alumni Award
Since 2018, 51ĀŅĀ×ās Housing and Residence Life department has honored an outstanding alumnus annually with the Distinguished Alumni Award. This award recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions in their careers and communities.
The award is given to those who have been part of Housing and Residence Life, through employment, leadership in organizations like the Residence Action Council (tRAC), Residence Hall Association, or hall councils. Recipients exemplify leadership, service, and community engagement.
51ĀŅĀ× values the impact of personal connections on student experiences and encourages nominations that highlight meaningful stories of influence and growth.
Housing and Residence Life (HRL) Alumni Network
The HRL Alumni Network is an official group within the 51ĀŅĀ× Alumni Association, made up of Housing and Residence Life leaders and staff. The Alumni Association has a dedicated group on the Bobcat Network to help us stay connected with events, updates, and opportunities.
This online group lets us share photos from HRL alumni events, post announcements, notify you of upcoming events, and reconnect with Housing and Residence Life leaders from past years!
Whether you were a Resident Assistant, Hall Director, Security Aid, tRAC member, office assistant, Housing Ambassador, or part of our housing staff, this network is for you!
- STEP 1: Join the Bobcat Network by creating a profile.
- STEP 2: Once you have a profile within the Bobcat Network, click on GROUPS on the left navigation menu.
- STEP 3: In the search bar, type in Housing and Residence Life and then hit enter.
- STEP 4: The group will populate and click on the group to request to join!
