The Zumkehr Projects highlight and support scholarship into the rhetorical dimensions of public memory as we collectively remember (and argue) about the past. On this site, you will find a growing body of resources—including lectures from the world’s top scholars in public memory—that demonstrate, as William Faulkner famously said, the past “is never dead. It’s not even past.”
