University Planning develops long-range strategies and master plans for the growth and transformation of 51ยายืโ€™s campuses by interrelating programmatic needs with physical facilities, infrastructure, systems and surroundings.โ€ฏ This process is facilitated by creating close relationships with university stakeholders, the City of Athens and all cities in which we exist, and different community groups. 

Work performed by University Planning seeks to complement our Comprehensive Master Plan, Utility Master Plan, Housing Master Plan and Capital Improvement Plans.

What Are Master Plans? 

Planning creates a roadmap that provides a long-term vision balanced with what is achievable to guide day-to-day decisions for the future development on the campus.  

Driven by academic priorities, master planning provides a set of guidelines for decision making related to the locations of the university's research, teaching, and residential programs. It also provides a campus-wide perspective for developing 51ยายื's capital plans to ensure fiscal responsibility.
